vampires suck (dvd, 2010, hysterical spoof of the first 3 twilight movies with a bit of other vampire movies as added fodder, silly and inane, but lol funny)
coco before chanel (dvd, 2010, loved this french movie referencing the early life of one of my favourite designers, coco chanel)
dear john (dvr, 2010, typical sparks book into a movie, tho it was set in SC and not NC).
gnomeo and juliet (cinema, 2011, cutesie animated movie, lots of familiar voices, entertaining but lacked something)
the runaways (w/n, 2010, cherie currie's story of the runaways, with joan jett. i'd be interested to read the book to see how much the film compares.)
greyfriars bobby (dvr, 2005, cute family film version of the tale of bobby the dog who guarded his master's grave in edinburgh. i've seen the wee statue of "bobby" near the church.)
angels & demons (dvr, 2009, a good interpretation of the book, a few bits changed, added and removed, flowed well and i enjoyed it. though in the book, langdon's character was a lot less in charge!)
trainspotting (dvr, 1997, slightly more disappointing that i expected, nice to see a few of my fave scottish actors though, robert carlyle, ewan mac and kevin mckidd allowed to use their real accents!!)
inception (2010, strangely odd movie, i think seeing it again might help it make sense, or not)
the mighty celt (w/n, 2005, slightly irish movie, set around belfast but not as political as it could have been, good vs bad, good triumphs in the end, robert carlyle as an irishman)
the bells go down (tcm, 1943, good post ww2 english movie set around the fire brigade of london, realistic enough to surprise me that anyone survived being a fireman back then)
i'll be there (w/n, 2003, a british comedy, set in wales with craig ferguson as the aging rockstar who finds out he's a dad and his aspiring singer daughter, charlotte church)
and then she found me (dvd, 2007,cutesie movie about an adopted woman who after meeting her birth mom struggles to find her own place in the world as a woman and eventually a mother)
eclipse (dvd, 2010, good to finally see it on dvd, loved it in the theatre)
the stone of destiny (w/n, 2008, based on a true story of a group of friends who conspire to return the stone of destiny back to scotland and its rightful home)
