more than half way

so i finished the amsterdam book last night. it was one of those oddly compelling books, the ones that beg me to read to the end to find out wtf it was all about!! this ending was okay, but so much fluff throughout. i was disappointed. atonement was SO much better. i have one more of mcewan's to read, the innocent.

still reading the vietnam book from the oldest son's reading list. i like it, but never seem to have time to read it during the day. and i don't want to read that before i go to sleep. i have enough trouble sleeping!!

eventhough i did not go shopping today, i did get the girl to the library. and a son to karate. i will try to get up with the alarm tomorrow to do get the trek thru target done. it used to be fun. now it's trudge schlep. for as much as i dread them going back to school, i do relish having some more daily free time. even if it's ONLY 2 1/2 hrs!!

i started reading a new twilight based fanfic, i really do need more twi-saga books!! i like the ff that fill in from the sm books, the M rated stuff we're all dying to read, but she couldn't/didn't write. some of the ff is really good. totally believable. i'm glad there is some decent stuff out there.
