what is it with us and the storms our week at the beach?? hurricane earl is barrelling up the east coast of the usa headed directly for where were are!! they've already started evacuating the barrier islands down near ocracoke. we're way north and they expect the closest path to send storm surges here starting thursday @ 2pm. we're anticipating heading out thursday depending on the path, but even the far away one will hit pretty hard here.
we're currently about 150 yards from the beach/ocean. surf was rough today, but no red flags. we were advised by the lifeguard not to use the kayak we rented! :-(
good news is that we'll have lots of time to get ready for the wedding rehearsal on friday evening!! ;-)
and we've had 2 super beach days, beautiful sunshine and clear sunny skies. beats last year by miles!! ;-)
